kids at the house 2012

Alphabet have been working together with the design and marketing team at Sydney Opera House to create and develop a collective of creatures who live in and around the house. They are the ambassadors to all things KIDS AT THE HOUSE – This has been a really fun process putting these guys together. Meet Henry, Bowie, Edwina, Olive and Clark – each with a signatory hat and personality to match. Stephen O’Connor and Pino Sellaro brought together the SOH in-house design team of Vanessa Tamblyn and Kinal Ladha and Alphabet studio. Alphabet were asked to describe, express, represent, draw, colour in, rub out, redraw, add hats, dance moves, high drama and ultimately a whole lot of happy moments to the brand of Kids at the House. The result being a somewhat scruffy eclectic bunch of loveable types to inhabit a world for little and big kids alike.

The characters are there to help kids be entertained, educated, supported, inspired and motivated as the 2012 Season program continues to grow and develop in to world leader – integrating arts events with Kids learning and development. In creating the characters, a range of personality types have been adhered to. Each character representing traits that resonate with the wide range of kids who find themselves at the Sydney Opera House. The characters have been integrated into the 2012 Season brochure and are about to find their way on to a TV near you. The TVC launch the Season is in progress – Hackett Films are animating a series of sequences which to date look amazing – We will keep you posted and share with you the final version when its ready to go.
